PDI Transparent Dispatch

Your authority. Your money. Your numbers. Our freight network.

PDI finds the freight, negotiates the rate and dispatches your truck. You see the rate confirmation, bill the broker on it and get paid directly. PDI invoices 5% of the weekly gross on the loads it dispatches, with a weekly report of what your truck did.

Who this is for

For owner operators and small fleets running under their own MC and USDOT authority. One truck or a fleet, the terms are the same. We don't lease you on. We dispatch you.

PDI dispatches dry van, reefer and flatbed trucks.

How it works

  1. 1

    PDI sources the freight.

PDI freight first when the truck, lane, timing and money fit. The outside market when they don't.

  2. 2

    PDI negotiates.

We negotiate the rate and weigh deadhead, destination and the reload.

  3. 3

    Your rules.

You set your operating profile: lanes, areas you won't run, home time, maximum deadhead, your minimum all-mile rate and freight you won't haul. We dispatch inside those lines and call you before going past a hard limit.

  4. 4

    You see the rate.

You get the rate confirmation for every load. No hidden dispatch spread.

  5. 5

    You bill directly.

Your invoice and POD go to the broker on the rate confirmation, and the broker pays you.

  6. 6

    PDI bills 5%.

One invoice a week for 5% of the weekly gross on the loads we dispatched, next to your performance report.

The rate you see is the rate you bill.

PDI never cuts your rate confirmation to make its fee. The 5% is disclosed and invoiced separately.

Example numbers

Example: a $3,000 outside broker load

  • Rate confirmation: $3,000
  • You invoice the broker: $3,000
  • The broker pays you directly
  • PDI dispatch fee at 5%: $150, on its own invoice
  • You keep $2,850 before your own operating costs

We plan beyond today's load.

A PDI load out, a reload we lined up, an outside load that positions the truck, then back to PDI freight. PDI freight is never forced onto your truck. The goal is what the truck earns for the week, with fewer empty miles.

Your weekly report.

Every week you see what your truck actually produced.

  • Loads hauled
  • Gross revenue
  • Loaded miles
  • Empty miles
  • Total miles
  • Loaded rate per mile
  • True all-mile rate per mile
  • PDI dispatch fee

Example numbers

$1,500 for 500 loaded miles looks like $3.00 a mile. Add 100 empty miles to the pickup and the truck ran 600 miles for $2.50 a mile. We plan on the second number.
